A very late night post, but I'm up, so why not?!
No pictures this time, as we've started using some of the items already. ;)
I don't feel like I got as good of a deal (I thought I'd only be paying $6, but wound up paying $10 and some change.) Chalk it up to being a couponing newbie! Anyways, this is what I bought:
8 gatorade
3 Tidy cats cat litter (Hopefully our cat won't have a problem switching litters, she's picky. ;) )
2 Grands biscuits (.30 coupon doubled)
2 bags of goldfish (after I figured out that the Hagen daz were smaller, I felt I should get something else.)
2 Temptations cat treats ($1 coupon, doubled)
1 bag Kraft Cheese
1 Windex (.40 off, or .75, can't remember which one I used!)
1 glade candle ($1 coupon, doubled)
1 cottonelle 4 pack, I had a .25 off coupon, but forgot to get it out. :/
So, my first mistake was switching the Hagen Daz for the more expensive gold fish. And I had actually had 3 senarios planned out, but they did not have half the items I wanted.
They messed up on my reciept also. The cashier missed 7 bottles of Gatorade! So I went back thinking I should get $5 back (Since it was part of the 10 items), but since she didn't charge me, I got $1.50 back. To be honest I'm still a bit confused, but I'm horrible at math. It's my weakest area, so I'm sure it'll take me a bit longer to get this down pat.
Oh well, better luck next time! ;)
Also this week, I did run to Walgreens. I'm doing the free printer ink refill (black, so it's worth $10.) Hopefully it'll work when we pick it up saturday! I also bought some pop, 4/$11. I paid $15 oop, and got $3 back in Register rewards. I used that with a .99 cent coupon and bought 3 softsoap, for which I paid .15.
We went to Meijer for the rest of our groceries, and while I don't have a list of every item I bought, we spent $22.35, and saved $16.40.
This is the first month I've set a monthly budget, and it's $160. I wound up spending $42.28 instead of the $40 I've planned for each week, but not bad at all!

Walgreens said they couldn't fill my ink, it sort of irked me because it was so hard to get to the store on that day. So I'll try to fill it myself!
I did the Kroger $5 deal too. I got 3or4 packs of cheese and the rest was the Knor noodle packs. I totally cheat with those when I am tired but still need to cook a hot dinner :)
It's good to have some "cheat" food for when you're tired, isn't it?! ;)
For some reason, sometimes Walgreens just cannot refill the ink. This happened to us last time. I haven't picked our ink up yet because my mother's in town. I'll get it monday, hopefully it'll work!
